Play AVI to BlackBerry PlayBook with Good Video and Audio
The new BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0 introduces a range of new communications and productivity enhancements as well as expanded app and content support. Expect improvements like native email, calendar and contacts, integration with Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, some newfangled Bridge functions, and access to the first crop of Android apps in BB App World. With the BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0 software available now as a free downloads for all BlackBerry PlayBook tablets, there’s no need to talk further about this topic here. So, in this article we’ll major talk about how to perfectly playback AVI videos on PlayBook.
The most frequently asked question about AVI playback on PlayBook is either video image loss or no audio. Actually, the AVI extension is just a container for the video and audio codecs, and multiple AVI files have different codecs. Most of the AVI videos will come along with an AC3 audio codec, which is not supported by PlayBook. That’s the main reason why some of the AVI movies playback on PlayBook with no sound but video.
One of the best solutions to play AVI on PlayBook with video and audio is to convert AVI (AC3 audio codec) to PlayBook supported AVI (MP3 audio codec) format. In this article I’ll show you how to convert AVI (AC3 codec) to PlayBook AVI (MP3 codec) with Enolsoft Video Converter. Below are the easy steps.
Step 1, Download and install Enolsoft Video Converter: Windows user may free download it from http://www.enolsoft.com/download/enolsoft-video-converter.exe. If you are a Mac OS user, please go to: http://www.enolsoft.com/download/enolsoft-video-converter.dmg.
Step 2, Import AVI videos and select PlayBook AVI output format: Click “Add Files” button to import AVI videos and click the “Output Format” column to launch output format window. Go to “General Video” and select “AVI – Audio-Video Interleaved (*.avi)” as output format. Or you may select an optimized PlayBook MP4 format as output format by going to “Tablet > BlackBerry Tab >PlayBook HD H.264 Video (*.mp4)”.
Step 3, Customize output video and audio settings: Click the gear-like icon on the right side to launch the video and audio setting window, and then you are able to customize the codec, resolution, bitrate, frame rate and channel etc. For playback on PlayBook, it’s better to select h264 video codec and MP3 audio codec.
Step 4, Hit “Start” to start the AVI to PlayBook video conversion. But please notice that, the free trial version of Enolsoft Video Converter only converts parts of the videos, if you need to convert an entire AVI movie and get additional value-added services, you may need to get a registration code.
